Job Summary: As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions for Direct Energy’s regulated and competitive businesses. Your expertise and strategic insights will directly contribute to driving financial performance and decision-making within the organization. Main Responsibilities: Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes, including budget preparation, variance analysis, and trend identification to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting, including reconciliations and financial statement analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain financial models, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to optimize business performance. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and present to senior management for informed decision-making. backss and mitigate financial risks, developing and implementing effective controls, policies, and procedures to ensure financial results integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. Support the development of pricing strategies, cost optimization initiatives, and profitability analysis to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency. Provide cross-functional support for regulatory reporting, rate applications, and information requests as they arise.
