We are currently working with a niche engineering/manufacturing business based in Staplehurst. Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their established team on a full time, permanent basis. The Health and Safety Manager will support and develop the H and S function in line with business objectives and be responsible for all areas of the organisations H and S, including all safety initiatives and improvements, risk backssment creation and review, training of staff on H and S critical matters, ensuring H and S policies and procedures are adhered to and regularly updated. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: Professional qualifications : NEBOSH diploma or equivalent as a minimum At least 3 years H and S professional experience within a transferable manufacturing/engineering environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to successfully drive behavioural change Strong leadership skills to guide, support and motivate staff A solid understanding of the key principals of H and S legislation Proficient IT skills with strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines Organised administrator Desirable Skills: Experience of working in an ISO9001 accredited Engineering company Experience of working within ISO18001/45001 H and S management system Chartered professional status or willing to work towards chartership Line management experience This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that can offer ongoing career progression and development.
