Purpose: The Senior Manager, Data Lead implement data governance and data management in reference data and market data domains, in accordance with the data policy and standards, and in alignment with business priorities. In particular, the Senior Manager will be responsible for: • Collaborating with business and technology partners to implement data governance and data management for GBM reference and market data domains. • Supporting and ensuring Domain’s efforts to adhere to Data Management Policies. • Acting as a Data Subject Matter Expert for the domain, directly contributing to the development of data products. • Supporting the Data Modelers to extend the Common Data Model. • Providing advisory and consulting services to initiatives that require GBM data. Accountabilities: • Champions Data Office products and services, to increase adoption, bring value to the business, and gather feedback to improve the products and services. • Leads the establishment of data governance structures and works closely with Data Stewards, Data Custodians and other key roles to champion the adoption of a data culture • Performs Review and Challenge Function for data initiatives and data domains implementation of data management activities to ensure compliance with Policy and Standards. • Support the creation and maintenance of Scotiabank Business Information Model. • Keeps abreast with changes in data products, business processes, and technology processes related to the domain. Contribute to keeping the definitions and metadata up to date. • Contributes to the creation of KPI/KRIs in the assigned business area, in relation to data governance and management effectiveness. Requirements & Qualifications: • Extensive experience with capital market’s market and reference data. • Post-secondary education: University degree or equivalent.
