Job Summary: Tool Makers specializing in Injection Molding play a critical role in the manufacturing process of automotive parts by designing, fabricating, and maintaining injection molds to produce high-quality components efficiently and cost-effectively. Their expertise in mold design, machining, process optimization, and quality control contributes to the success of automotive parts manufacturing companies. Job Responsibilities: Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job's key responsibilities include: Tool Design and Development : Design and develop injection molds used for manufacturing automotive parts, components, and assemblies. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models to create mold designs that meet product requirements, dimensional tolerances, and quality standards. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 3D models, tooling layouts, and detailed drawings of injection molds. Mold Fabrication and Machining: Fabricate injection molds using various machining processes, such as milling, turning, grinding, and electrical discharge machining (EDM). Select appropriate materials , tooling, and machining techniques to produce molds with precise dimensions, surface finishes, and functional features.
