The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a wide range of legal proceedings, providing strategic legal advice, and ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations.Job Details:Conduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings.Work closely with Principals to develop and revise appropriate legal strategies for discovery, investigation, handling, and case trials and hearings.Guide clients on legal opinions, rights, and obligations.Remain current with changes in the law; understand a variety of disciplines involved with cases being defended.Demonstrate outstanding research and analytical skills for effective case preparation and representation.Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law.Requirements:Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.Member in good standing of the AL State Bar, or pending Bar results.Knowledge of business law and a specific understanding of the operations and requirements of clients. Experience and ability appropriate to the level of cases being handled.Knowledge of state law is essential.Strong analytical skills used for complex legal issues.Ability to appraise, interpret, and apply legal principles and precedents to difficult legal problems.Must be able to concisely and accurately communicate, both orally and in writing.Skills:Effective and collaborative working relationships with others, including peers and Principals of the firm.Education:Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.Certifications:Member in good standing of the AL State Bar, or pending Bar results.Job Location: Birmingham, AL This national, full-service law firm provides legal services to clients on a local, regional, national, and international basis.
