Description:
The Service Writer will work with shop manager, drivers, technicians and parts department to establish realistic completion timelines and ensure completeness and accuracy of repair orders. Major Responsibilities: Generate repair orders and follow through service to completion Communicate with drivers to accurately document vehicle issues Receive proper authorizations before repairs are made Enter the details of repair jobs on the companies' network for upkeep of maintenance logs Ensure proper administration of all service paperwork to accounting Track progress of each repair job and ensure paperwork is complete and accurately entered into maintenance tracking system Maintain effective communication with parts department to promptly address any supply or inventory issues Work with manufacturers to ensure warranty compliance. Qualifications: Proven work experience as a Service Writer or similar role Strong record-keeping skills Computer literacy in office software programs Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
