Isaac Waxberg had his roots as a cobbler in Germany before moving to Chicago and opening what has now become Waxberg's Walk Shoppe. In 2022, Waxberg's became part of the Stan's Fit For Your Feet family of shoe stores. Stan's family-owned and operated shoe stores have been stepping up the shoe fashion and comfort game in Milwaukee since 1950 and recently Chicagoland! Responsibilities Include: ● Support the store manager in the daily running of the store ● Provide the best shoe fitting experience in Illinois & Wisconsin, abiding by Waxberg's core values and standards, measuring both feet and suggesting styles and alternatives based upon customer needs and trends ● Responsible for managing, supporting, and encouraging a 10-15 person team to drive sales and meet store goals ● Direct staff in sales and non-sales duties and maintain a positive team atmosphere ● Promote continuing education and training of sales staff ● Lead and mentor the store team to embody Waxberg's culture, customer service, and team pride ● Achieve personal sales goals while supporting the goals of the team ● Build personal clientele ● Keep current on technology and trends to maximize your personal sales ● Must have the flexibility to work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts. May be scheduled 6 days a week during peak business times Required Education and Skills: ● High school diploma or equivalent ● Minimum 2 years full-service retail or related experience ● Minimum 2 years full-service retail management experience ● Ability to lift 4 pounds consistently, lift maximum 40 pounds occasionally, get up and down off a fitting stool consistently, bend at the waist in a sitting position consistently, push or pull 50 pounds occasionally, stand for extended periods of time consistently, climb ladders occasionally ● Strong organizational skills ● Ability to prioritize tasks ● Ability to multitask ● Shoe Experience a bonus but not required WORK SCHEDULE This position works 40+ hours per week, 5 days a week with increased hours/days in peak season.
