Practice Area: Intellectual Property - General,Data Privacy - Transactional, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm is seeking a Privacy Associate Attorney with the following responsibilities:Manage privacy compliance under the U.S. State Privacy Law, GDPR, and GLBA.Address advertising, internet-based, and mobile privacy issues.Implement and oversee privacy programs.Handle regulatory investigations related to privacy and data security.Lead data breach response and preparedness efforts.Draft privacy notices, internal policies, incident response plans, and data processing addenda.Requirements for this position include:3-5 years of legal experience, with at least 2-3 years focused on practical privacy/data protection.3-5 years of experience representing clients in intellectual property transactions with at least 2-3 years of practical privacy/data protection experience.J.D. degree and certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, and CIPT.Solid knowledge of U.S. and EU privacy and data security laws, including HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA.Transactional experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating privacy and data protection contracts.Experience implementing incident response plans and advising on legal requirements.Strong academic credentials and superior written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Ability to translate complex legal requirements into understandable language.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and escalate matters as needed.Capability to provide practical guidance to non-lawyers.Active membership and good standing in at least one State Bar.Location: Irvine, CA This full-service firm is one of Orange County's premier firms, offering its broad range of clients an equally broad range of services.
