The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in contract review, case law research, and client relations, along with a strong attention to detail and knowledge of governing documents.Duties:Reviewing and modifying contracts about community associations and HOAsInterpreting and drafting amendments to governing documents such as bylaws and covenantsConducting case law research relevant to community association lawDrafting legal opinions and documents, including amendments to governing documentsMaintaining client relations and providing legal advice to community association boards and membersPreparing for and attending board member meetings to offer legal guidance and representationReviewing community association issues and providing informed legal counselRequirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience displaying excellent attention to detail, contract review, and case law researchExperience in Community Association/HOA lawSignificant review of legal documents using electronic review platformsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPointFamiliarity with document management systems, preferably iManageEducation:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the Florida Bar Association or eligibility for admissionCertifications:Certification in Community Association Law (e.g., from the Community Associations Institute) is preferredSkills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in legal research and drafting legal documentsStrong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationshipsOrganizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently Attorneys at this firm boast working in an excellent work culture with positive management, who are compassionate, respectful, and understanding.
