OverviewSUMMARY Global Management Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Irrigation Technician for Grounds Maintenance Contract at Denver Federal Center. This position requires all aspects of irrigation maintenance, repair, as well as monitoring online irrigation program. This is a full time/year-round position and snow removal is a must during the winter months.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. * Irrigations system repairs/maintenance * Irrigation system checks * Baseline/Base Manager (online irrigation program) * Emergency on-call response may be required * Snow RemovalQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Required (Minimum) Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent * Irrigation system maintenance and repair experience- required * Backflow Certification a plus * Proficient in use of computer Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics * Must have working knowledge of irrigation systems operation and components * Must be able to work independently and follow a project to completion Preferred * N/APHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job is performed outdoors with exposure to many different types of weather. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * No supervisory responsibilities.ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to federal installation.
