The Production Supervisor on 2nd shift is responsible for supervising employees in a lean manufacturing environment. They will coach, assist, and coordinate the production efforts necessary to deliver quality products in a safe and efficient manner to meet the production schedule. This position serves as a crucial link between operative employees and management. This position will supervise a team that works 2nd shift hours Monday - Friday from 3:30pm - 12:00am and an occasional Saturday. Production Supervisor Essential Responsibilities: Oversee the production, manning and day to day manufacturing operations to achieve production goals.Ensure a safe and clean work area and adhere to the company quality and environmental policies.Work closely with employees to ensure the policy and procedures are being followed.Train, counsel and manage hourly employee performance.Foster a positive and respectful environment and resolve conflict as needed. Identify, support, and/or manage continuous improvement initiatives. Production Supervisor Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills and people oriented.Able to handle multiple competing tasks and priorities and perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision scheduling employees in a production environment. Takes a proactive approach in anticipating, identifying, and solving problems and makes necessary changes so problems do not occur in the future. High School Diploma or Equivalent required. An Associates/Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering or similar preferred.
