Job Summary The Operator position operates line equipment, uploads/records process data, and monitors the general condition of the line under the direction of the Shift Manager to ensure value stream objectives are met on a shift-to-shift basis while improving human performance, food safety, human safety, environmental, and sanitation performance. Under the expectations of this position, the Operator will be expected to work on all lines, shall be competent in his/her duties and have a working knowledge of all systems and line objectives. Schedule: B-Crew - Saturday Night, Sunday Night, Monday Night, every other Tuesday Night - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Duties and Responsibilities Perform SAFE observations. Monitor and coach team members on the importance of being personally responsible for their own safe behavior. Ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner. Ensure the proper operation of the line to meet both company and customer requirements. Assist team members to implement and maintain standard work and prevent out of specification production. Along with the Shift Manager and Team Leader the process operator shall provide daily leadership for team members, with specific focus on safety, food safety and sanitation. Develop team members by assisting in, and training, team members in the operator area of responsibility and supporting them with their duties. The Operator position shall be competent in and assist in training team members in Lean Principles, 5S principles, chemical usage, sanitation guidelines, food safety guidelines and GMP's. This position also requires the responsible monitoring of, and verification of the following: Accurate line records including HACCP and routine/non routine sanitation check lists to ensure compliance. Assist with maintaining accurate position descriptions and standard operating procedures. Monitor and audit 5S progress. Ensure accurate completion of Operations Reporting Records and provide coaching and feedback when errors occur. Demonstrate a daily commitment to the continuous improvement process by following Lean Manufacturing principles. Must maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity while embodying the tenets of "What We Stand For" and "The Basic Principles." Other duties may be assigned. Education and/or Experience High School diploma/general education degree (GED). Experiential learning may give the incumbent the ability to successfully meet all listed requirements of this position.
