Job Title: Land Plant / Board Operator A - Schedule: 7/7 - Crew Change Location: Mobile, AL -- Job Title: Land Plant / Board Operator A Rotational Schedule: 7/7 Crew Change Location: Mobile, AL Danos Expectations: A successful candidate will exhibit characteristics that support the following: * Safety Awareness * Work Ethic * Technical Skill * Customer Focus * Open Communication * Implementing Vision and Values Responsibilities: * Primarily responsible for managing the flow of oil, natural gas, and other fossil fuel materials that circulate through pipelines. * Knowledge of working environment as well as safety in an H2S field. * Duties include, but are not limited to, monitoring pump instruments and flow regulation, conducting routine inspections and maintenance of pipelines and related systems, supervising storage tanks, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and collaborating with pipeline technicians. * Operate pipeline equipment including, but not limited to: steam compressors, dehydrators, fluid separation equipment, valves, gas measurement equipment, etc. * Operate plant equipment & system and Start-up/Shutdown of plant equipment. * Visually inspect equipment and controls at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication. * Monitor plant operations and respond to emergency or upset conditions. * Operate under Process Safety Management (PSM) as required. * Ensure regulatory compliance and record keeping requirements are met. * Read, monitor, and record various operating conditions such as pressure, temperature, hours of operations, fuel consumed, water levels, etc. * Monitor, remove and replace filters, oil, chemicals, other lubricating fluids, gaskets, and valves as needed. * Direct and supervise contract labor involved in plant maintenance activities. Qualifications: * Must be clean shaven for fitting requirements. * A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. * Must have 4+ years of board operator experience * Candidate must be local to the Mobile area, living within one hour of the work location * There is no housing available, candidate must live within one hour of location in case there is a need of a call out * Technical certification or equivalent training in a mechanical environment or energy related field is preferred. * A valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required. * Knowledge of the operation, control, and general design of various kinds of systems typically present in a processing or fractionation plant is required. * Works indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment. * Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment. * Routinely reacts to visual, aural, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work. * May work in confined spaces (i.e. tanks, between compressors, vessels). * Must live within close proximity of job site. * Subject to after-hour callouts as needed. * Physical requirements: * Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs., apply up to 100-foot pounds of torque. * Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
