Description: You will be the Depot Structures/Sheet Metal, F16 Technician Level 2 for the Lockheed Martin Greenville Sustainment Team. Our team is responsible for Sustainment structural repair and delivery of F-16 aircraft to our customers. What You Will Be Doing As the Depot Structures/Sheet Metal, F16 Technician Level 2 you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and repairs various sheet metal and structural assemblies and sub-assemblies for F16 aircraft utilizing precision measuring equipment. The Depot Structures/Assembler, F16 Technician Technician will also need to be knowledgeable in aircraft structural repair operation and maintenance to include: * Precision Drilling/Reaming* Riveting/installation of various fasteners The candidate will be required to:* Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.* Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. * Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft. * Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.* Perform repetitive movements and work overhead.* Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.* Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company proceduresMission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required. **Candidate must be able to obtain a Security clearance**Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration. This position is in Greenville, SC Discover Greenville. Basic Qualifications: 3 to 8 years of Aviation Sheetmetal or Structures experience, Heavy Modification repair experience Experience performing assembly and installation work using assembly, jigs, fixtures, test equipment, precision measuring instruments, and mechanics hand tools.Experience reading and interpreting written specifications, blueprints and engineering drawings, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes. Desired Skills: Heavy Aircraft Structural Repair or Aircraft Sheet metal experience.Aircraft structural modification or heavy structures overhaul experience.Aircraft assembly, maintenance and/or modification experience preferred. Will consider commercial experience.Experience with drill ream and countersink, hydraulic installs.Knowledge of integral fuel tank sealing processes.Willing to be trained and/or certified in special skills. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
