A leading charity for specialist learning support and social care services is now looking for an Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist to join the staff bank for their therapeutic support services across the North West. Through residential and foster care, specialist education centres, and IAG and community-based services, the charity offers young people in care and with additional needs such as complex health needs, developmental disorders and/or SEMH, along with their families and loved ones, the holistic and inclusive support they need to learn, grow and thrive. With services spanning Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, and Lancashire, you’ll have the flexibility to deliver targeted 1:1 and group-based interventions where and when you choose, across a range of settings – including mainstream and specialist schools, residential services, and within the home – and alongside a broad multidisciplinary team of SLTs, OTs, specialist teachers, psychologists, sleep specialists and more. Working collaboratively with families and professionals of all kinds, you’ll support young people to develop new learning and living skills, to feel valued and included, and to look forward to a bright future. This is a bank ad-hoc position for a Therapeutic Professional Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist. Person specification: Candidates must have: Active registration with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist OT or Speech and Language Therapist SLTActive registration with the relevant Royal College RCOT or RCSLTPrevious experience practising within clinical and special educational settings.
