Whiting Bible Church (Whiting, NJ) – Assistant Pastor The Big PictureWhiting Bible Church (wbcnj.org) is seeking a full time Assitant Pastor.Whiting Bible Church is located in the Pine Barrens of south Jersey. We are an hour and a half from the city of Philadelphia as well as New York City. We are thirty minutes from the Atlantic Ocean (we call the Jersey Shore). Our community is not urban nor rural. We are twenty minutes from many farmlands. We are surrounded by many over 55 communities. There is an Elementary School walking distance from the church. Purpose: To assist the Senior Pastor in the ministries of the church Job Description: Responsibilities:Coordinate with the Senior Pastor in the work of the ministryWeekly staff meetings, visitation in homes, nursing facilities, hospitalsBeing involved in church activitiesBeing loyal and a team playerIf married has a wife that is supportive of the ministryModel a mature, personal walk with ChristSupport the vision and strategy of the church as set forth by the Senior PastorMaintain a reputation in the church and community that brings glory to God* Have regular office hours, two days off each week Qualifications: *Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a Christian or Bible College (Masters or Seminary level not required)* Experience in Church MinistryA clear and inescapable sense of calling to serve the Lord in the local churchA desire to work with a staff team in harmony and unity as we seek to fulfill Ephesians 4:11-13 in building up the body of ChristAbility to handle God’s Word in preaching and teaching.
