LPN- Medical/Surgical Unit

Description:
This position is responsible for providing direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting. In this position, you will be expected to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing education to patients and their families. As a Med/Surg Nurse, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care possible. Duties and Responsibilities: Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions and vital signs Administering medications and treatments as prescribed Assisting doctors with procedures and surgeries Documenting patients' medical histories and progress Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families Ensuring patient safety and comfort Managing and organizing patient care Performing routine procedures, such as dressing changes and catheterizations Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records Requirements and Qualifications: Active LPN license Proven experience as a med/surg nurse Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field Certification in med surg nursing Continuing education in nursing Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Experience with patient assessment and care planning Ability to work effectively in a team environment
