Mechanical Design Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in our Oklahoma City office, collaborating withproject managers, project engineers, electrical engineers, and applications engineers. Focused on designingtanks and wastewater treatment equipment, this role will be instrumental in translating proposals and agreed uponspecifications into comprehensive submittal drawings for industrial projects ranging from $500,000 to $8million.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Generate submittal drawings with a focus on general equipment details and customer interface tie inpoints.· Collaborate with internal teams and vendors, ensuring seamless integration of our equipment withthird-party designs.· Interface with production drafting teams for 3D modeling, exploring ways to simplify submittals forenhanced flexibility in client and engineering firm interactions.· Collaborate on design-build projects, providing valuable insights and feedback during the engineeringprocess.· Coordinate extensively with customers to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a clientcentricapproach.· Understand and navigate the complexities of industrial projects, including integrated solutionsencompassing pumps, blowers, automated valves, screening equipment, biological equipment, solidsseparation equipment, instrumentation, and controls/programming for wastewater treatment plants.Requirements:· Minimum college education in Mechanical Engineering or similar; Engineering management experienceis a plus.· 10+years of relevant experience.· Proficient in 3D Modeling; experience with 'engineer to order' design in an OEM environment.· Familiarity with engineering calculations.· Effective communication skills, both written and oral, for collaboration with internal teams, vendors,and customers.· Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and work independently or within ateam.· Experience in design-build projects is an added benefit.· Experience in the wastewater industry is an added benefit.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:The conditions described are representative of those that must be met in order to perform the essentialfunctions of the position.
