At Medwiz, we're on a mission to deliver exceptional pharmacy services, improve the quality of life for our patients, and we are looking to add a Staff Pharmacist to our growing team in Lexington! We are a close door, privately owned pharmacy with competitive pay , PTO, equal opportunity for growth, and we are in search of applicants who are passionate about providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our long-term care residents. Responsibilities: Dispense medication – Complete prescription orders issued by prescribing physician. Counsel customers on reactions, side effects, dosage, and proper storage. Mix, store and make compounded medications per respective directions. Maintain strict procedures to ensure the packaging, mixing, and labeling by following mandated regulations. Offer expert support and guidance – Provide exceptional customer service. Partner with healthcare professionals to review the quality and effectiveness of drugs, providing advice on usage and observed side effects. Manage administrative operations – Order and purchase supplies to manage stock and handling. Keep excellent records and files of patient information. Maintain precise medication records, conduct regular medication reviews, and oversee inventory management. Requirements: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities Availability for days, nights and weekends. Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Kentucky Strong communication skills Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required Weekend flexibility Reliable transportation to commute or willing to relocate Comfortable educating our providers, clinical staff, and technicians on drug information and interactions.
