Job Overview: We are looking for an Associate Financial Analyst to join our accounting team. The Associate Financial Analyst will provide analysis and metrics for financial core processes, be responsible for knowledge of all systems to support our field operating locations, and responsible for at least one operating site. This position will provide operational planning and analytical support for various processes, support the Accounting Department in its operational and financial reviews, and responsible for key monthly accounting activities, including the monthly close process and balance sheet reconciliations. Qualifications: College degree desired. Finance or Accounting preferred. Understanding of GAAP Advanced PC skills including Excel Strong communication and presentation skills Time management skills Team building skills Willingness to travel if necessary Ability to pass pre-employment drug test Excellent work history with proven track record Professional, clean, neat appearance No conviction of felonies, serious crimes, or have charges pending. However, a conviction is not an automatic disqualification of employment. Ability to work independently. Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter. Ability to plan and organize workload. Ability to handle very detailed information. Ability and flexibility to handle work pressure and work with interruptions. Ability to meet work processes deadlines. Ability to handle multiple priorities. Ability to function as a team player. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, vendors, consultants, auditors. Ability to supervise subordinates and appraise performance of same. Willingness to learn and accept responsibility. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Responsibilities: Support planning and forecasting of business results. Works with the Directors and VPs of Operations to monitor and analyze financial results and prepare required variance analysis and explanations to plan or forecast. Must understand impact items have from impact of volumes, scope, and inefficiencies. Ensure sound operational decisions are made by providing financial analysis that considers these items and the implications to the P&L statement. Identify, capture, and report on key performance indicators (internal and external focus). Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations in OneStream. Demonstrates support to the Epes Transport System, LLC Quality Management System and its objectives, as applicable. Drives continuous improvement projects to reduce cost structures or improve operating efficiencies. Performs other duties as may become necessary or assigned.
