Practice Area: Immigration - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm is seeking an EOIR Immigration Attorney to join their team in San Antonio, Texas. The EOIR Immigration Attorney will be responsible for representing non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals. They will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with the Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. Duties:Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutionsManage workload of cases and client interactionConduct intake with detained individuals at centersPrepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitionsReview immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustmentsPresent to and collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration lawMeet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategyDevelop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimonyProvide legal analysis for clients to determine case benefitsPrepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases Requirements:1-5 years of Immigration Law ExperienceExperience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applicationsInterpersonal skills of the highest caliberRecord of moving legal cases forward and managing a caseloadExperience with Case Management Software preferredBilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred Education Certifications:Juris Doctor degreeAdmission to the State Bar Skills:Strong understanding of immigration law and proceduresExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Benefits Offered:The firm offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, catered lunches, an excellent compensation package, 401k plan, paid parking, paid time off, and more.
