Faith Church, headquartered in Dyer, Indiana, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Executive Administrator/Pastor. This role serves as a key leader within the church, working closely with the Senior Pastor and other church leaders to fulfill the church’s mission and vision. This is a critical role in supporting the overall leadership and functioning of the church as set by the Board of Directors. The Executive Administrator/Pastor will provide strategic planning, ensure oversight of church operations, manage staff and ministry teams, and work to resolve issues ministries may face. A sense of calling to an “equipping of the saints.” The person in this position will live out their discipleship to Jesus Christ by working with the leadership of Faith Church to implement the vision of the church: “Restoring the World One Relationship at a Time.” Key Responsibilities and Duties Providing leadership and guidance to the church staff and ministry teams. Developing and implementing strategic plans and goals in collaboration with the Senior Pastor and church leadership. Ensuring oversight of the day-to-day operations of the church, including facilities management, technology, and administrative functions. Managing and supervising staff, including oversight of recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Overseeing the budgeting and financial management in collaboration with the Stewardship Executive Committee to ensure the financial health and stewardship of the church. Work with Pastors and ministry leaders to identify what resources are needed to execute their portion of the Strategic Plan. Collaborating closely with the Senior Pastor and the Board of Directors in managing the church’s vision and the implementation of the church’s mission and values. Building a strong partnership with the Senior Pastor and fostering effective communication and teamwork. Participating in Elder/Deacon/Board meetings and providing input in decision-making processes. Liaison to the Nomination Committee. Serving the Committee by contacting current officers eligible for renomination to find out their intentions, checking with locations if there is a need for additional Elders and/or Deacons and bringing those to the Board for approval, maintaining a roster of those serving and their terms. The Executive Administrator will, with the approval of the Board, serve other organizations as a voice and influence for Faith Church and as an example of serving the broader Kingdom of God. (e.g. The Kingdom Network, the Board of Directors of Northwestern College, Words of Hope, etc.) Should the Executive Administrator/Pastor have a preaching and teaching gift, use that gift by preaching occasionally at our different locations. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge: Experience in overseeing the Administration and Management of the church while working with the staff, Board, and other key leaders. Experience in overseeing Personnel and Human Resources principles, goals, and concerns. Experience in utilizing basic accounting principles for good organizational financial management. Has a basic understanding of church operational requirements needed at all levels of ministry. Can identify measurable indicators for system performance and present ways to improve or correct performance. Skills: Can coordinate, instruct, persuade, negotiate, motivate, and relationship-build with all levels of staff, board, members, and individuals of the community. Service-oriented and has social perceptiveness to help solve issues. A good sense of judgment and decision-making while watching whom and how it will affect the organization. Can motivate, develop, and direct people as they work and identify the best people for the job. Has a proven ability to manage time and the time of others. Abilities: Is an effective communicator through writing and speaking. Is experienced in and effective at active listening and learning for the benefit of all levels of the organization. Demonstrates critical thinking skills to help with monitoring organizational functions from personnel (motivating, directing people, etc.), to resources management (funding, building use, etc.), to the overall direction of the organization. Can effectively resolve conflict while maintaining relationships. Is flexible in their work habits and able to handle urgent needs during the day. Qualities: Models the Christian life and commitment to Christ, a Christian marriage and family life. Gives strong emphasis to personal accountability, discipleship, spiritual formation, and spiritual disciplines. Models a healthy balance of ministry and family life. Education, Licenses, Registrations, Certificates Has at minimum a four-year degree and additional schooling focused on church life or ministry. Physical Demands Ability to sit/stand for 1 hour or more at a time, use hands to finger/handle/feel, talk and listen, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Years of Work Experience preferred 10+
