We currently provide the opportunity for a hybrid/flex-hour work schedule. We have an immediate need for a Senior Structural Engineer for our Mineola, LI or New York City Office. Responsibilities Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small rehabilitation projects to large scale new construction Lead structural engineering analysis and design tasks for a wide array of new and existing structures, including but not limited to: structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood/timber building structures, transit facilities/stations, foundations, and site/waterfront infrastructure Lead site investigations to observe and document existing conditions and document structural deficiencies Perform condition assessments, load ratings, schematic designs and prepare written reports to summarize the results of the investigation Supervise and assist in the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and lead the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering services Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects Support the mentor-ship, training, and development of junior engineering staff Support the preparation of technical proposals in the pursuit of new work Attend meetings and site visits with clients as a representative of the firm Actively participate in local industry organizations and business development functions Support the development and improvement of the department's technical standards Coordinate staffing needs and project financial performance Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master's Degree a plus 7+ years' experience in Structural Engineering NY PE required Strong mentor-ship skills Ability to manage projects, clients, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to technical staff Understanding and application of code requirements Experience in using various structural analysis software Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus - Please visit our website for all of our career opportunities at https://careers-liro.icims.com - We offer a competitive benefits package and a positive work environment. - Compensation: Minimum: $120,000; Maximum: $150,000. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position.
