Summary/Objective The Account Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Account Manager with the assigned client's benefits program. They contribute to operational success and directly affect our ability to meet key objectives and deliverables. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Prepare and assist with marketing and renewals. Prepare and assist in processing necessary paperwork for submission to insurance carriers. Spreadsheet and proposal preparation. Coordinate client communication/enrollment materials needs with Enrollment Resource Specialist. Track incoming requests from assigned clients and their members to ensure that issues are documented and resolved promptly. Provide forms and other benefit related materials upon request to clients/employees. Assist in various research requests, including timely responses to audit inquiries; may assist in developing and preparing reports, letters and spreadsheets. May be expected to demonstrate knowledge of benefit plan billings, payroll deductions and Flexible Spending and Dependent Care Accounts. Collaborates with Billing Department to resolve employee, carrier and/or vendor accounting issues, including coverage questions, collections, discrepancies, fee arrangements and billing issues. Responsible for updating and maintaining client data, files, and records in internal systems. Competencies Experience working with employee benefits programs, including self-funded and fully insured health insurance, dental, vision and ancillary products. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple activities and task simultaneously. Must have a general knowledge of benefit administration systems. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively. Highly self-motivated and self-directed. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. The ability to operate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Extensive PC experience in Windows environment, MS Office, databases and internet. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Travel Travel is typically not an expectation of this role. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree preferred in related field and/or equivalent experience. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Preferred Education and Experience Related Industry Designation (ie. SHRM-CP, CEBS, etc). Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
