Field Engineer 200 S Wilcox Dr, Kingsport, TN 37660, USA Req #38 Thursday, May 23, 2024 Position Summary In this role, the Sr. Field Engineer will interact with construction and maintenance teams, and management to support the planning and technical portion of project turnarounds/shutdowns. Coordinate project turnaround/shutdown schedules with client and develop execution strategy. Directs subordinates based on general policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed on completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Primary Responsibilities * Coordinate with client representatives to plan and schedule turnarounds/shutdowns. * Identify resource, material, equipment, and support needs e.g., scaffolding, etc. * Coordinate/manage technical issues, RFI's, material issues and other support issues to assist turnaround/shutdown coordinators, and Field Execution staff. * Reviews turnaround/shutdown proposal or plan to determine time frame, budgets, procedures for accomplishing work scopes, and resource requirements. * Develops and supports start-up / commissioning safety plans and procedures, assures conformance to company guidelines and practices as required. * Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems * Coordinates and/or attends design, construction, start-up, commissioning, and qualification meetings. * Lead responsibility over turnover/shutdown field engineers. * Functions as a technical specialist. * Assures effective utilization of resources, and technical quality. Qualifications * BS in an engineering or construction discipline preferred or 5-10 years' experience in planning and scheduling construction and maintenance turnarounds/shutdowns. * Five+ years in supervisory position * Strong computer skills, experience with construction and/or maintenance planning and scheduling software is required. * Eight + years of Field experience is required.
