We have a direct hire opening for a Machinist in Everett at a machine shop that specializes in precision components for the aerospace, defense, and medical industries. This is a 2nd shift opening. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate precision parts per engineering specifications without supervision.Direct Hire Opportunity - Be on our client's payroll from Day 1!Salary and Shift Information: * Pay: $35-$38/hour * 2nd shift: 3:20 pm-1:20 am; Monday-Thursday with overtime on Friday as requestedJob Duties of the Machinist: * Use setup sheets to understand the requirements for each job * Set up CNC machines for operation, install the appropriate cutting tools and inserts, and load the materials into the machine * Open the right program and make edits to the program based on the job requirements * Use tools such as edge finders, indicators, and probes to find machine work offsets * Set controls to adjust the machine settings such as the cutting speed, material feed rate, coolant distribution, and the depth/angle of cut * Use precision measuring tools to ensure parts conform to engineering specifications * Perform a range of machine operations: Turning, milling, drilling, boring, and tapping * The parts are produced from both metal and plastic materialsBenefits of the Machinist: * Employer covers 95% of costs for employee medical, dental, and vision insurance and 50% for family coverage * Simple IRA with company match. * Paid vacation. * 11 paid holidays which includes the week off between Christmas and New Years!Job Requirements of the Machinist: * Have 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist; using either mills or lathes * Be able to make edits to CNC programs to correctly produce each part * Read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and specifications of the parts * Strong working knowledge of GD&T * Knowledge of optimal cutting techniques, speeds, and feeds * ESPRIT CAD and CAM software for CNC programming (preferred) * Have an understanding of G&M codes (preferred)APPLY NOW!
