Job Duties: Design protocols and moderate playtest labs, guiding participants through a set of tasks and prompting them for sincere, relevant feedback. Provide strategic insights to test teams assumptions and inform their action. Design surveys and analyze results to better understand player sentiment and player motivation at scale. Construct and organize studies to answer development and usability questions. Share results with the team in clear, illustrative presentations. Understand the Fighting Game Community behaviors and motivations regarding several aspects of gaming (from gameplay to content preferences), done through the design and execution of qualitative research. This position is based out of Riot Games, Inc.'s office in Los Angeles, CA. Telecommuting is permitted within commutable distance of this location. Periodic on-site attendance will be required. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree, or its foreign degree equivalent, in Business Administration, Marketing, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related quantitative discipline, and 4 years of progressively responsible experience in Operations Research Analyst, Game Development Researcher, or related occupation. Special Skills:1. Design and analysis of qualitative longitudinal studies using diary studies; 2. Design of surveys for profiling different audiences of the gaming market and measuring their sentiments and opinions on various subjects;3. Design of protocols, feedback collection tools (questionnaires and discussion guides), and analysis for videogame prototype playtesting;4. Design and analysis of ethnographic research applied to the videogame market; and 5. Knowledge of the Brazilian gaming market, main players, and consumer profile.
