In 2020, Kinross acquired Manh Choh : a project expected to commence production in 2024 and process ore at Fort Knox. Job Responsibilities:Oversee operations at the mill and related support systems.:Work with operators in all facets of process training, understanding, safety, and general work practices.:Prepare and conduct performance evaluations, recommend promotions, and carry out disciplinary actions as needed.:Investigate, analyze, and supervise the documentation of accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.:Monitor and maintain all production and personnel records (i.e. daily production and inventory logs, timecards, evaluations, etc.).:Generate work orders for repair or modification of operation equipment. In emergencies, off shifts, or as directed, perform or supervise completion of minor repairs.:Communicate with other department supervisors that support mill activities (i.e. the Maintenance, Warehousing, Crusher, or Mine Supervisor).:Monitor work areas on an ongoing basis to assure a safe and cost:efficient operation.:Develop personnel by training and example.:Ability to react quickly and efficiently in emergency shutdowns and power failures.:Maintain accurate records and files.:Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in job performance.:Responsible for conducting performance evaluations, recommending promotions, and carrying out corrective actions as needed.:Investigate, analyze, and supervise the documentation of accidents, injuries and equipment damage, and recommend prevention strategies as necessary.:Punctuality and regular attendance is required.:Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management.:Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, confidentiality, and environmental policies.:Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the state.:Work safely in all areas, identify potential safety hazards, and work with management to correct hazards.:Work without significant risk of harm to self and others.:Perform other duties as required. Education and Experience :High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Employee must have sufficient education to read and write instructions, perform simple mathematical calculations, and keep records.:Two years' previous mill operations crew experience required. Skills :General knowledge of mining and the integration of the mining, milling, and maintenance functions.:Must be production orientated.:Good working knowledge and skills with a P.C. utilizing word processing and spreadsheet programs.:Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.:Must be a self:starter with the ability to work independently, with others in a team environment, and also as a member of the m
