What You'll Do: Our Director of Marketing and Sales Events is responsible for the following: Develop and maintain referral and customer base/profile. Responsible for all sales and meeting financial sales goals. Has oversight for the prospect and catering partner relationship, to ensure timely and complete follow-through with requested proposals and information. Manages marketing and sales of events for ONE and client tours of the Masonic Temple and Masonic Library and Museum. Manage presence in social media, industry advertising, special events websites, and publications. Maintain professional memberships within Philadelphia events community and attend networking functions as appropriate. Manage exclusive catering partnerships. Manage audio/video and other preferred or exclusive partnerships. Liaison with the Grand Lodge, Subordinate and Appendant Bodies to manage internal Grand Lodge and Masonic events. Organize and manage event details from beginning to end (i.e., executing proposals and contracts, planning and execution of social, corporate, and internal events/meeting, meals, and special events. Collaborates with all departments to develop, implement, and manage operations per event. Manage group and interpersonal relationship conflicts to the benefit of the guest, facility, and contractual obligation. Coordinates deliveries, shared spaces, and equipment when there is more than one event. Manage accounting functions for department and provide accounting reporting to the Executive Director, Library and Museum Controller and Masonic Villages accounting department. Review revenue reports and audit commissions received from and paid to exclusive caterer quarterly. Develop, design, and produce sales collateral and promotional materials. Create reciprocal partnerships with local hotels, restaurants, and parking facilities to provide clients with comprehensive choices for a complete ONE event package, and to increase referral business. Attend weekly Director's meeting with key operational team members consisting of the Grand Secretary's office, the Director of the Maintenance department and the Director of the Library and Museum as it pertains to public and Masonic functions, providing event status and operational set-up needs for all internal events and updates on booking progress. Maintain and apply a base knowledge of Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board regulations and apply knowledge as appropriate to events. RAMP certification required. Ensures catering partner provides RAMP certified staff. Has oversight for compliance with PA liquor laws. Knowledgeable of PA and Philadelphia safe food service regulations and apply knowledge as appropriate to catered or other events. Possess City of Philadelphia Department of Public Health Certificate, ServSafe Certification and re-certify as required. Work with internal caterer and maintenance department to ensure kitchen complies. Ensure all health department inspections meet approval status. What You Have: Four years bachelor's degree in hospitality, culinary or business field required. Masters degree preferred. Five to seven years of experience in hospitality industry, private club, or convention center catering division, required. Ability to operate independently and with a high degree of autonomy requiring excellent time management skills and self-motivation. Good communication and people skills. Proficiency with computer applications (i.e., Word, Excel, databases, CRM, event planning and POS systems). We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
