SHIPPING/RECEIVING & MATERIAL COORDINATOR JOB AVAILABLE IN SAN JOSE, CA Volt is immediately hiring a Shipping/Receiving & Material Coordinator in San Jose, CA. As a Shipping/Receiving & Material Coordinator , you will:The Shipping/Receiving & Material Coordinator manages all inbound and outbound shipments to Labs and is responsible for proper material management and handling within the stockroom. This includes verifying goods received, system transactions against purchase orders, proper categorization and storage of goods, kitting and issuance of materials against work orders, proper pack-out of goods, and preparing for shipment including all proper documentation and pick-up scheduling. This is a Full-time Contract opportunity. Essential Functions: Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, transacts system receipts, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Prepares and fulfills outbound shipments, executes appropriate system transactions, and maintains records of merchandise shipped. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production both internal to Labs and external at manufacturing partners. Ensure FIFO procedures are complied with when materials are received into the stockroom and perform daily cycle count tasks. Conduct the above assigned responsibilities in such a manner as to ensure that the stockroom is maintained in a safe, neat and orderly manner. Perform other duties as required by the organization. Basic Qualifications: 3-5 years previous experience in Shipping/Receiving, including international customs experience. Knowledge of ESD-handling practices and optical component handling and packaging. Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiency. Keen sense of attention to detail and adherence to published processes and procedures. Experience with ERP/MRP system level transactions as it relates to receiving, shipping, transfer orders, work orders, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
