The Georgia-Pacific Halsey Mill is looking to add an Instrumentation Technician to the maintenance department. Work Schedule is M-F from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay Rate is $47.88/hour Our Team Georgia-Pacific Papermill in Halsey, OR facility is a Papermill that strives to incorporate our Mill Vision, which is to: Continuously transform and develop disciplined operations to safely and reliably deliver valued products as the preferred partner for our customers, Georgia-Pacific, and Halsey team. We are constantly looking and pursuing excellence, to ensure present and future employee safety, fulfillment, and growth What You Will Do * Contribute to creating a safe working environment by identifying hazards and proactively mitigating them * Perform preventative maintenance on control system components, instrumentation, and electrical systems * Repair and troubleshoot instrumentation devices; and systems while ensuring systems are compliant and maintain documentation on repairs * Install new instrumentation equipment throughout the facility * Support other maintenance activities as well as additional duties assigned * Work afterhours and call-ins when needed Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * High School Diploma or GED * Oregon Electrical License of "Limited Energy Technician, Class B", or higher required. * 5 years or more experience in reliability or maintenance * Familiar with Process Controls system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting which might include DCS systems, control valves, industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, temperature, etc. * Experience installing, repairing, and testing the accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and other indicating equipment * Experience diagnosing mechanical and electronic systems using scanning and diagnostic tools, multi-meters, and computers What Will Put You Ahead * Oregon Plant Journeyman Electrical License or Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME). * Associate or Technical degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field * 7 years' experience in Industrial Motor Controls (PLC, motor controls, control valves, electrical distribution, industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, and temperature) * Experience in the pulp and paper industry * Experience with Chemical Process Safety At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
