Overview The Larimer County Conservation Corps (LCCC) is hiring a Program Coordinator to implement projects, develop partner relationships, and support field-based projects through the lens of Forestry!The LCCC is a workforce development program that implements natural resource projects focused on climate change adaptations. Our programs empower crew members to develop personal and professional skills, gain environmental awareness, and actively engage in the community. The LCCC is housed within and administered by the Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development Department (LCEWD).The Program Coordinator will work collaboratively and independently within a small staff team. A portion of this position will be field-based duties that require regional travel and possible overnights. The schedule will fluctuate according to seasonal needs, but will typically be Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.LCEWD carefully recruits staff to build on our existing culture of collaboration, respect, inclusiveness, and innovation. Responsibilities Specifically this position: Coordinates and administers forestry program services with other local, state and federal land agencies, community groups, and other county departments and divisions. Acts as liaison for assigned programs, clients, staff, department or office. May provide lead accountability for other employees, temporary or seasonal staff, and/or student interns within the department or program, which may include scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work, instructing/training in work methods and providing input into hiring. Creates and evaluates program resources; implements changes to programming. Conducts marketing efforts to promote public awareness and education on program services. Interprets department and program policy and procedures. Conducts client training based on program needs; may assist in development of training programs. Principles, practices, and techniques of program development and administration. Perform effective public speaking to groups of varied interests and backgrounds. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other county employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and members of the community. Follow record keeping and reporting procedures. Qualifications All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process. Three (3) years experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties.
