NuConsult is committed to a safe work environment for our employees and customers.Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar energy systems. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail. This is a contract position which may lead to a permanent position.Responsibilities:- Install solar panels, and other components of solar energy systems- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on existing solar installations- Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions in solar systems- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance processes- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials use- Participate in required training, including On-the-Job Training, Self-Study, Computer Based Training and Classroom TrainingSkills:- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical codes and regulations- Experience as a commercial electrician or in a related field- Familiarity with low voltage systems and components- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment commonly used in solar installations- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently- Strong blueprint reading skills to interpret technical drawings and specifications- Experience with fixture installation and electrical wiring- Understanding of high voltage systems and safety protocolsThis is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to the growing field of renewable energy.
