Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will provide chairside assistance to the dentist during dental procedures, perform various administrative tasks, and ensure a clean and sterile environment.Duties:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments, maintaining suction, and providing patient comfort- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available- Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging software- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation, including patient charts and treatment records- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar using Eaglesoft or similar software- Take and record vital signs of patients as neededRequirements:- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and ability to take dental x-rays- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions is a plus- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentialityThis is a full-time position with competitive pay.
