Reports to: Business Development Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Compensation: With this Inside Sales position, uncapped commissions mean that our Business Development Representatives earn between $45,000 - $100,000 per year, dependent on their own performance. Our top three representatives earn more than $150,000 per year Our Business Development Department has been recognized nationally among Better Business Bureaus for almost a decade as one of the country's most efficient and effective teams. As of June 2023, five of our representatives have been listed among North America's top 10 overall BBB representatives. As an inside sales position, making 80-100 cold calls daily, t he Business Development Representative sells the value of becoming a BBB Accredited Business. With over 225,000 businesses in our service area and expectations of continued growth, Business Development Representatives identify, vet, and highlight the value of BBB Accreditation to businesses across a wide range of industries. Leads originate from our extensive database, proactive approaches by the Business Development Representatives sourcing their leads, online accreditation requests, and other community outreach initiatives. Must Haves: At least two years of prior sales experience Past sales awards and achievements A great voice and ability to sell and close over the phone Active listening skills and the ability to control a conversation A closer mentality that is not afraid to get to the “yes” A passion for success and earning money! Strong work ethic and character. Being able to self-manage and hit daily goals Honesty; high level of integrity Trainable and Coachable Ability to adapt to technology, including our CRM, Microsoft Office 365 programs, and the proficiency to enter client data while pitching A clean criminal background An understanding that hard work pays off, that activity leads to results, and what you put in is what you’ll get out.
